Shane Maguire concentrates his practice on labor and employment litigation and counseling as well as commercial litigation matters. Mr. Maguire’s employment law practice focuses on advising employers on a wide range of subjects that arise within the employer-employee relationship including wage and hour issues, employee separations, and leaves of absence. Mr. Maguire also has substantial experience representing employers in state and federal court and in administrative proceedings in the defense of wage and hour, wrongful termination, harassment, and discrimination claims. In addition to his employment law work, Mr. Maguire counsels and litigates clients in business cases, including breach of contract, unfair competition, business torts, and trade secret actions.
EDUCATION AND AFFILIATIONS
Mr. Maguire received his J.D. degree in 2005 from the University of Notre Dame. In 2001, Mr. Maguire earned a B.S. degree in Management Science and a B.A. degree in Political Science from University of California at San Diego. Mr. Maguire has been a member of the California State Bar since 2005, and he is admitted to practice in all California state courts as well as the United States District Court, Southern and Central Districts.
